New York Democratic Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez believes the Constitutional age restriction to run for president only applies to men.
According to Politico’s Playbook, the young socialist was doing a photo shoot at Harvard University as part of an event for Politico.
While taking pictures, Ocasio-Cortez and the photographer joked about her running for president.
“You can’t even run for president for another six years,” the photographer said, noting that she had just turned 29 yearsold while apparently fawning over her.
The New York Democrat responded by claiming the U.S. Constitution only places a presidential age limit on men, not women.
“No, not for a long time. Thank God,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “Although we’ve been joking that because the Equal Rights Amendment hasn’t been passed yet, the Constitution technically says he cannot run unless he’s 35,” she falsely claimed.
She also threatened to run for president if Republicans don’t pass the Equal Rights Amendment.
“So what we’ll do is we’ll force the Republican Party to pass the Equal Rights Amendment by threatening to run for president,” she continued.
“That is awesome,” the photographer replied, apparently supporting the idea of her running for president. “All the people who say a literal interpretation of the Constitution is the only thing you should be paying attention to.”
The U.S. Constitution does not say “he” cannot run, but rather “any person.”
Below is an excerpt of Article II Section I of the U.S. Constitution:
No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.
Ocasio-Cortez has made a habit out of threatening Republicans lately and making statements that are completely false.
On Friday, Ocasio-Cortez threatened Donald Trump Jr. for using a meme to troll her for supporting socialism.
“I have noticed that Junior here has a habit of posting nonsense about me whenever the Mueller investigation heats up,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote.
“Please, keep it coming Jr – it’s definitely a ‘very, very large brain’ idea to troll a member of a body that will have subpoena power in a month. Have fun!” she added, which many clearly view as a threat.

Reports indicate Ocasio-Cortez may have committed an ethics violation with the threat before she’s even sworn into office.
On Thursday, she was brutally mocked for announcing that she’s going to pay her interns “at least” $15 per hour.
In typical socialist fashion, she didn’t mention that she would be using taxpayer funds to do so. She’s using other people’s money to give her interns a big pay bump, yet she boasted about it and portrayed herself as being generous.
Last weekend, the New York socialist cited a highly misleading report that claimed Pentagon accounting errors totaled $21 trillion.
“In all, at least a mind-boggling $21 trillion of Pentagon financial transactions between 1998 and 2015 could not be traced, documented, or explained,” the piece stated.
Ocasio-Cortez argued that the United States should have used that money to fund the $32 trillion “Medicare for All” plan that she supports.
The Department of Defense hasn’t spent $21 trillion since it was created over 70 years ago.
Ocasio-Cortez had no earthly idea that it is mathematically impossible for the Pentagon, which had a budget of $500 billion since it was created, to waste $21 trillion.
Earlier this month, Ocasio-Cortez also said people are going to die soon if the U.S. doesn’t address climate change, claimed Republicans criticizing her on Twitter are “stalking” her, and bizarrely told her supporters that Democrats need help to taking back “all three chambers of government.”
Ocasio-Cortez, who once said “I’m not the expert on this stuff,” continues to show how true of a statement that really is.
