Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s not even a member of Congress yet, but House Democrats are already caving to her demands.
On Tuesday, House Democrats agreed to a proposal with Ocasio-Cortez and progressives that will make it easier to raise taxes.
Democrats agreed to scrap a rule that would have required a three-fifths super-majority vote to pass any new tax increases.
The New York Democrat celebrated the move on Twitter just how many imagined — making it all about herself.
“When I first won, folks said we were too naive, inexperienced, and uninformed to be effective. Yet in our first weeks, we elevated Green New Deal to national urgency, secured 30 cosponsors on a Select Committee, and helped stop a bad tax rule. I’d say we’re off to a good start,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote.

Progressives wanted to scrap the rule completely in order to help fund their socialist projects, such as Medicare for all and tuition-free public colleges, which are two items heavily supported by Ocasio-Cortez.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who is making a slew of backdoor deals to ensure she become House Speaker next month, agreed to a compromise.
Democrats didn’t outright scrap the rule, but they agreed to scale it back so that it doesn’t apply to America’s wealthiest 20 percent of citizens and corporation, which will make it easier to raise taxes on them.
This is now the second time in the past month that Pelosi has caved to Ocasio-Cortez and her band of progressives.
Last month, Ocasio-Cortez took part in a protest with the “Sunrise Movement,” the group who flooded Pelosi’s office on Capitol Hill with activists and demanded a more progressive climate agenda.
Within hours of the protest, Pelosi recommended to her colleagues in the House that they reinstate a committee to address climate change, which is what the 29-year-old socialist wanted.
Pelosi caving to the New York socialist likely opens the door for more policies aimed at gaining support for the $32 trillion “Medicare for All” plan that Ocasio-Cortez and other progressives support.
Ocasio-Cortez has no earthly idea how to pay for her socialist giveaway plans just like she can hardly have a discussion about serious issues without becoming an embarrassing gaffe machine.
Just last week she claimed the Constitutional age restriction to run for president only applies to men.
Last month, the New York socialist said people are going to die soon if the U.S. doesn’t address climate change and bizarrely told her supporters that Democrats need help to taking back “all three chambers of government.”
There are three branches of government, not chambers.
Ocasio-Cortez, who once said “I’m not the expert on this stuff,” continues to show how true of a statement that really is.
And if anyone dares to criticize her or the policies she supports, she’ll threaten them with a subpoena.
