Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is on a roll lately with crazy ideas for saving the world.

While speaking with Spectrum News, the New York lawmaker lamented her frustrations with plastic bags and how a mass overhaul of the recycling industry is another key to preserving the planet.

“I can be upset that I get ten plastic bags at the grocery store and then have to toss out my plastic bags because the recycling program in the area is tough, and that’s ok,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“All of these are not reasons to stop fighting,” she continued, looking around while getting more animated with her hands.

She added, “All of these are reasons to keep fighting. And these are all reasons and pieces of evidence to say, hey, we need to make it easier to recycle.”

During an Instagram live session last week, Ocasio-Cortez gave viewers advice on how to cook, interior design, and dating as well as suggested people should reconsider having children to save the planet.

She also implied that if her Green New Deal is not passed by Congress, we’re all essentially going to die in the near future.

Twitter user Gob Abierto uploaded several clips of Ocasio-Cortez’s comments, many of which are mind-boggling.

In one (now deleted) clip, Ocasio-Cortez pulls something out of a plastic bag, which gave her another idea: we must ban all plastic bags!

Ocasio-Cortez then spent several minutes discussing her socialist Green New Deal, which would require the U.S. to eliminate “pollution and greenhouse gas emissions” and meet “100 percent of the power demand in the United States through clean, renewable, and zero-emission energy sources” within 10 years.

Ocasio-Cortez’s main talking point lately is to claim that we are all going to die in the near future if her Green New Deal is not passed.

Ocasio-Cortez not only wants plastic bags banned, she also wants the federal government to take action against “farting cows” because she believes their flatulence is destroying the planet.

During an appearance on the Showtime series “Desus & Mero,” the New York lawmaker was asked about “farting cows” in the Green New Deal “frequently asked questions” section.

“In the deal, what we talk about is, it’s true, is that we need to take a look at factory farming, period. It’s wild,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“And so, it’s not to say you get rid of agriculture. It’s not to say we’re going to force everybody to go vegan or anything crazy like that,” Ocasio-Cortez added.

She continued, “But it’s to say, listen, we’ve got to address factory farming. Maybe we shouldn’t be eating a hamburger for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Like, let’s keep it real.”

Ocasio-Cortez also told a group of teenagers last month that they can do their part in addressing climate change by eating peanut butter for breakfast.
